Rotana Hotels in Bahrain donate a cheque to Think Pink

All 3 Rotana properties in Bahrain held a series of fundraising events over the month of October and November to raise funds to be donated to the charity ‘Think Pink’ in aid of breast cancer awareness, with a total amount raised of BD1641. The bulk of this donation was amounted via a spectacular 72 hour ‘Charity Cyclothon’ which the hotels created, with a total distance ridden of over 2,700 km. 

Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana hosts members of SEDRA foundation 

SEDRA Foundation conducted its first outdoor Life Skills Academy (LSA) at Café 302, Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana where the academy members had an interactive learning session, followed by a fun-filled special lunch. 

Wellness Day at Women's Labour Camp

The residents of women’s labour camp located in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi found a reason to smile. Hala Arjaan by Rotana in partnership with Burjeel hospital, Abu Dhabi conducted a stress management and laughter yoga session at the camp.

Year of giving the initiative

For the last Iftar before Eid Al Fitr, Hala Arjaan and Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana partnered with Al Futtaim Carillion in Abu Dhabi for a noble cause. 

Plant a Tree in my Country

Al Manshar Rotana hotel in Fahaheel, Kuwait participated on the “Plant a Tree in my Country” held at Boulevard Park Salmiya launched by Al Tijaria. 

Rotana colleagues volunteered and planted seedlings in Boulevard Park along with their families on the 1st of April 2017. 

Battle of the Bottles 2017

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana blew the bottle in the name of the Earth Day.

The challenge for all participants was to use empty plastic bottles and other recycled materials to build race boats and to show how wastage can be used in a ludic way. 

 The Act of Giving

This year, Jumeira Rotana incorporated the blessings of the event under the theme of “The Act of Giving”; for five consecutive days, the hotel distributed 100 Iftar boxes to all taxi drivers passing by the hotel. 

The boxes were handed out on the premises of the hotel and provided each taxi driver with mixed nuts, dates, fruits, bread, water and juice.

Villa Rotana Hosts an Iftar with SNF Children

Villa Rotana Dubai, embraced the Holy Month of Ramadan by supporting SNF (Special Needs Future Development Center) along with their families to break their fast with Villa Rotana team.

The families together with the management of SNF joined the team with a delectable array of Arabian cuisines.   

The Iftar Exchange benefits 1,000 labourers

The Iftar Exchange, a charity campaign initiated by Towers Rotana, in partnership with Epicure Catering benefited 1,000 labourers.

The Towers Rotana team composed of colleague volunteers from various departments assisted in distributing iftar meals on 19th June 2017. 

Celebrating Ramadan in a Special Way

Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa in cooperation with the Rising Sun centre, the Journalists Association for Charity, and The Cove Rotana Resort celebrated the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Cove Rotana and Fujairah Rotana, in collaboration with the Journalists Association for Charity, invited 70 orphans from Amana Health Care Centre. 

Downtown Rotana Staff Participate in Blood Donation Drive

Staff of Downtown Rotana, participated in a blood donation drive held at the hotel’s premises, in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank of Bahrain.

Spearheaded by the HR Department in an effort to support the Blood Bank’s needs, and help raise awareness about the significance of blood donations to the community.

Beach Rotana Donates Boxed Goods

Beach Rotana welcomed the Holy month of Ramadan by continuing its tradition of giving and helping the community.

Hotel colleagues, working hand in hand, organized and packed 100 boxes of dry goods that were donated to the Emirates Red Crescent Society. 

Families & Friends Society of Persons with Disabilities

Amman Rotana organized and hosted the annual society fundraising charity dinner under the patronage of HRH Princess Mona Al Hussein.

Amman Rotana has built a sustainable relationship with the society and supports its mission of providing services for persons with disabilities and raising awareness.

The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana supports Green Wheelz Initiative

The Boulevard Arjaan team proudly collected 39 Kgs in the first phase of the “Plastic Bottle Caps Initiative” with Green Wheelz.

By saving the environment; Green Wheelz in return will exchange those caps to support kids with disabilities.

Earth Day 2017

The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana volunteers on Earth Day to help and save our beloved planet.

The initiative was organized by a group of volunteers from various departments, to support community service and promote volunteer work among employees.

 Workshop for Young Adults with Disabilities

Capital Centre Arjaan by Rotana in partnership with SEDRA, Abu Dhabi hosted a Healthy food habits workshop and organized a field trip to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Bring a smile to a child

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana’s team yet again joined forces with Operation Smile UAE. This volunteering action has been organized to support in raising much needed funds to provide free corrective surgery for children. Our colleagues and other volunteers helped in raising more than AED 72,000 in just one weekend!

Pink October Workshop

The workshop was held at Capital Centre Arjaan by Rotana, where guests and colleagues attended a seminar on early detection of breast cancer by Dr Safa Suliman from Prince Medical centre which was followed by a session on self-assessment techniques.

City Centre Rotana Doha at Qatar Sustainability Week

The initiative by Qatar Green Building Council was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. It plays a crucial role in raising awareness among the wider community, while showcasing the progress Qatar has made in the areas of sustainability and green buildings.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Jumeira Rotana opened the season of festivities with its traditional Christmas tree lighting. This time, the event was dedicated to the children from the Rashid Center for the Disabled.

Beirut Marathon 2017

Gefinor Rotana and Raouché Arjaan by Rotana staff took part in the Beirut Marathon 2017 on the 12th of November in support of the Alzheimer’s Association Lebanon.

Breast Cancer Awareness 2017

To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month, Jumeira Rotana celebrated a “Pink Day” together with all guests and colleagues. In observance of the campaign, all colleagues wore pink ribbons, and special decorations gave the hotel lobby a pink glow.
